現年只有28歲的 Leo Houlding，是英國知名的攀岩好手及探險家。

10歲時 Leo便展示出自己在登山方面的天才。1996年他勇奪英國室內攀岩青年錦標賽冠軍。1998年 Leo在不借助器械的情況下，沿著著名的 El Nino 路線登上了 EI Capitan 的東南峰，他是首位完成這項壯舉的英國人，這次登頂為他在國際登山界贏得盛名。

2007年 Leo 參與珠穆朗瑪峰的遠征隊，和隊友一起沿著英國登山傳奇人物 George Mallory 和 Andrew ' Sandy ' Irvine 的足跡向珠峰發起挑戰。最近他更成為了 BBC 英國國家廣播公司 的電視節目”Take Me To The Edge”的主持人。

今年他更有精彩之舉“The Asgard Project”，Asgard 山位於北極圈，是世界上最難攀爬的山峰之一，這次行動包括訓練和籌備歷時近半年，此次攀岩影片計劃於今年十月份在Kendal國際電影節首映。除此之外，他還首次踏足中國，將在7月份挑戰中國五岳之一--華山西峰獨壁。

TAKE ME TO THE EDGE    AN EVENING WITH LEO HOULDING

Leo Houlding is rapidly building a reputation as the world’s premier adventure climber.  Still in his 20s, he has been climbing since the age of 10 and has already set the climbing scene alight with bold ascents, outrageous stunts and ambitious firsts around the globe.

Among other achievements, in 1998, Leo became the first Briton to make a free ascent of the famous El Nino route on the south eastern buttress of El Capitan in Yosemite, USA.  With one climb, his international reputation was sealed.  Today, Leo is focusing on his next big objective - the Asgard Project –right at the cutting edge of climbing and adventure.
